Edward Abraham: International Pilot Advisor

Ed comes to Cage Marshall Consulting with an amazingly diverse aviation background. He has spent his career flying for domestic and international companies. Currently, Ed flies for a US legacy carrier, has over 8700 hours of total time and 6500 hours of Pilot in Command. His type ratings include a CL-65, ERJ-170/190, B-737/300, as well as several international ratings.
In August 2007, Ed was invited to join the management team of a new start-up LCC in the Middle-East and to fly B737-300. Ed was placed in a difficult position: stay in the US and keep flying for a regional carrier or work for an airline in the overseas market. While leaving his family was not easy, Ed knew that he needed to advance his career.
Over the course of the next eight years, he successfully interviewed and worked for several companies in Africa, Middle-East, Eurasia, and Southeast Asia. He held various positions to include: Line Check Airman, Operations Performance Manager, and Line Captain. Ed quickly learned how to get licenses, network, apply, and interview for companies in the international arena. Additionally, he learned about the lifestyle and professional and cultural differences that accompany living and working in various countries.
Ed is living proof that pilots can go overseas to fly and return with positive results. Based on his years of experience as an aviation professional and as a successful interviewee, Ed is a wealth of knowledge to help other international applicants. Whether you are going from the US to an international company or interested in exploring the possibilities of applying to an overseas position, Ed should be your first call. He can offer his expertise and recommendations to help you land the international interview and job more quickly and with less frustration.
Ed has earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor Degree in Aviation Science and Management from Bridgewater State University.
John Corbin: Technical Instructor and CRM Specialist

John came to Cage Marshall Consulting in 2013. His aviation background includes over 38 years of military and commercial aviation experience. John began his pilot career in the United States Air Force where he served for 22 years in both active and reserve assignments. His career is extensive and impressive including roles as Aircraft Commander, Instructor Pilot, Pilot Evaluator, and Research Pilot. John flew a range of military aircraft including the T-37, T-38, KC/WC-135 and the KC-10.
While in the reserves, he was hired by a legacy airline where he managed to log over 10,000 hours. John had the opportunity to fly the DC-8, B-727, B-737, A-320, B-757, B-767, B-777, and B-747/400, and held titles as Captain, Simulator Instructor and Training Check Airman in the DC-10 and B-737. Additionally, John spent several years as an Interview Captain where he conducted interviews and evaluated applicants.
Having spent years (28) in these roles, John understands the challenges a military and civilian pilot can face when preparing for an interview. As a result, John can offer pilots a wealth of knowledge to help applicants with career transitions, interview guidance, technical and CRM advice.
John has a a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in Agriculture Economics and a Master's degree in flying!
Holly Hoover: HR Interview Prep Consultant

Holly comes to Cage Marshall Consulting with an extensive knowledge of the airline industry and the pilot interviewing process as she spent several years with a legacy carrier. Her various positions included; working in the pilot domicile, to pilot employment and later as that of a Pilot Interviewer.
After retiring from the airline, Holly began working for Cage Marshall Consulting as an Interview Consultant. For several years she served in this capacity while pursuing her Master's Degree. She later moved to Virginia and began her "second life" as a school counselor. Last month, she agreed to return to CMC as a Pilot Interview Consultant.
Holly has years of experience sitting across the table from pilot applicants. She has extensive training in conducting pilot interviews, reviewing applications, discussing areas of concerns and discovering an
applicants weaknesses. These skills combined with her education in Psychology make her an invaluable asset to the Cage Marshall Team and provide a wealth of knowledge to our clients.
Holly has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Mick Krantz: CRM Instructor and Technical Advisor
Mick came to Cage Marshall Consulting in 2013 with a background in all things aviation! He has 30 years of experience and over 12,000 hours of flight time. As a former Standards Captain and CRM Instructor, Mick is well versed in the art of effective cockpit communications. He is a great addition to our team and can offer applicants valuable insight as to the reasoning behind the CRM process during the interviews as well as the best approach to conflict resolution in stressful situations.
After earning his degree, Mick pursued aviation through the civilian sector. He began his career as an instructor and quickly progressed to flying for a corporate flight department. From there, he was able to successfully move into Part 121 operations. He has held positions as a Flight Instructor, Corporate Pilot, Regional Airline Captain, Legacy Airline Captain, Line Check Airman, Standards Captain, CRM Instructor, Accident/Incident Go Team Leader and FAA Designee.
His type ratings include single and multi-engine aircraft; Lear Jets, DC-8/9, Metroliner, B-727, B-757, and B-767.
Recently retired from a legacy carrier, Mick has been applying his expertise in CRM to the medical field. Currently he is the Director of Risk Management & Patient Safety for Presbyterian/St. Luke’s’ Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Mick has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics’ & Meteorology from the University of Nebraska.
Ronald McElroy: Technical Consultant and Author
Ron McElroy has been part of the Cage Marshall Consulting family since 1997. He came to us with extensive aviation knowledge, an innate teaching ability and a straightforward approach to working with people. In the 17+ years he has worked with us, Ron has created a unique environment that allows applicants the ability to be pro-active in the technical portion of their airline interviews.
He has written two books; Airline Pilot Interview-A Study Guide and Mental Math for Pilots as well as a Flashcard series; ATP, FAR, AIM. These books have been top sellers and are recommended by Chief Pilots, Interviewers and Hiring Managers within the aviation community.
His background in aviation is impressive. Ron started his career in 1976 in the United States Air Force as a pilot. After several years in the military, he made the decision to transition to civilian flying. Over the course of his 38 years in the aviation industry, Ron has held positions as a charter pilot,

flight/ground/simulator instructor, skydive pilot, chase and photo pilot, and recently retired from a global airline where he was a B-777 Captain and Pilot Instructor. About a year ago, Ron decided to again expand his resume and accepted a position with the Federal Aviation Administration as a test pilot. Ron has logged over 10,000 hours of flight time in over 140 types of aircraft, instructed hundreds of pilots and has gained the admiration of pilots in the aviation industry worldwide.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanics from the United States Air Force Academy and Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
DeeDee Onodera-Brown: HR Interview Prep Consultant and Operations Support Specialist
DeeDee came to Cage Marshall Consulting in 2012. She spent over 25 ½ years with a global carrier serving in various roles including sitting on the Pilot Interview Board, that of a Pilot Interviewer, Presenter at aviation career seminars and workshops, an Emergency Procedures Instructor for both pilots and flight attendants, and was hand-selected to do contract training for Air Force One.
DeeDee's unique approach to interview preparation offers clients the ability to understand the interview from the interviewers perspective giving the applicant valuable insight. As a former interviewer for a legacy carrier, DeeDee offers our applicants an opportunity to understand what the other side of the interview desk looks like. From application to paperwork errors to interview do's and don'ts, she has seen it all!

As an Interview Consultant, DeeDee is responsible for overseeing our interview preps, reviewing resumes and applications and conducting debriefs. Additionally, she is one of our Workshop Presenters and assists with client relations.
During college, DeeDee worked as a flight attendant for a major airline and did Special Assignments on charter flights for Air Force One Press Corps, the Denver Broncos, and the Chicago Cubs.
DeeDee graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a Double Major degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Science and Psychology.
Christopher Rothe: Military to Civilian Transition Specialist

Chris came to Cage Marshall Consulting in 2014. He started flying gliders when he was 14 years old and has over 4000 hours of flight time. Chris joined the military after college and has over 20 years of military and civilian aviation experience. He has flown the T-37, T-44, C-130, and TG-16 in the Air Force, and is a qualified aircraft commander and instructor pilot. Chris had the opportunity to deploy on numerous occasions to sandy parts of the world and flew aerial firefighting missions in the C-130 to augment the US Forest Service.
Chris was a Wing Safety officer and participated in many hiring boards for his Air Force Reserve squadron. He attended various military schools including: Flight Safety Officer School, The NTSB Aircraft Accident Investigation Course, Air Force Advanced Instrument School, and two National Aerial Firefighting Academies. Chris is currently in the Air Force Reserve and flies for a legacy airline. He has a solid grasp of the military to civilian transition and the unique challenges Reserve and Guard members face. He is
determined to help everyone he can accomplish a smooth transition from the active duty to reserve/guard career path, active duty to civilian, reserve/guard to civilian and everything in between!
Chris has a Bachelor’s Degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Master’s Degree is aviation safety from Embry Riddle.
Lenny Runingen: Client Services and Operations Manager

Lenny came to Cage Marshall Consulting in 2012 with a diverse background in business operations. He has over 25 years of office experience as a Client Services Representative, Account Executive, Sales Associate, and Office Manager in industries ranging from health services to insurance. He has received countless hours of specialized training in areas of customer service, insurance liability & risk assessment and business ethics.
Lenny's role with Cage Marshall Consulting is endless. He is responsible for all aspects of client services including initial client contact, scheduling, pilot workshops, and all of our administrative and office requirements. He will most likely be the first person a client speaks with and will offer guidance with regards to our services.
Lenny served in the United States Army, both active and inactive duty.
Tina Vogt: Administrative Assistant

Tina began working with Cage Marshall Consulting as a temporary office assistant. Within a few short weeks, she became part of the family. While her primary duties include data entry, organizing our pilot workshops and conference travels, she also helps with client relations.
Tina will most likely be the person who contacts you regarding appointment confirmations and paper gathering questions.
Clients that speak with her will find her positive attitude and friendly demeanor to be contagious.
